"Pebbles" gets 5 stars!
Matyas Tamas shows depth and maturity way beyond his years. This book is very moving and the simplicity and beauty of its content makes it enjoyable for readers of all ages.

"Pebbles" Inspires Readers of All Ages
I ordered copies of "Pebbles In The Surf" for many family members including my children, nieces and nephews. The author remarkably moves his readers to pay attention to the ordinary occurances we often overlook. His inspiring tribute to his late uncle is deeply touching. It is refreshing to know that future generations have role models like this talented author.

An amazing collection of poetry and photographs
This collection of poetry and photographs was exceptionally mature and moving, even without realizing that the author is only 17 years of age! I am a school teacher and this book had been recommended to me by a friend. Since I am teaching poetry as part of my English class I thought that this book would be inspiring to other young people. I am glad that I was able to come upon this very talented author. He shares with us his love and passion for this world, the nature around us, and the simpler and more beautiful things in life. I highly recommend this book to anybody who can appreciate real poetry and photography.

The "Jewish Question" in Europe
Published in Hardcover by East European Monographs (15 September, 2000)
Author: Tamas Ungvari
Average review score:

Exceptional Author conveys important Message
Dr. Tamas Ungvari has written an extraordinarily special book discussing the "Jewish Question." Dr. Ungvari communicates nothing but truths in his work. There is little given toward opinion, at the heart here is fact based upon what one must suppose is hours and hours of first hand, 20th Century, research. The Jewish Question is a treasure for generations old and young.

An Important Study of European Jewry
Dr. Ungvari has made an important contribution to the study of Jews in Europe, especially in Hungary. This is particularly with regard to his examination of the forces which argued for "assimilation" as well as for the retention by Jews of their necessary ritual and communal observances. Since Jews were prominent in the cultural, scientific, and economic elements of European (and Hungarian) life, their responses to the pressures that were exerted, often of an anti-Judaic nature, are given vivid and profound consideration by Dr. Ungvari. I have found this book to be an invaluable source of information for readers who wish to know the conditions under which Jews worked and lived from before World War I and since then. Dr. Ungvari gives a clear view of the concerns and disputes which often erupted and which saw the diversity of arguments and considerations which took place, among Jews and non-Jews, and always with the looming and threatening power of long-ingrained anti-Judaism in that part of the world. I offer my highest recommendation to all readers.

Tamas Dobozy: Doggone
Published in Paperback by Gutter Press (April, 1998)
Author: Tamas Dobozy
Average review score:

Doggone
What a romp! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! In one blissful sitting, I followed the adventures of Gabe. What a way to corne diem! Try it-you'll like it! G M

An excellent read, more enjoyable than DQ swirls
Poor Gabe, the unfortunate loser anti-hero of this rolliking tale. His trials and failures throughout the book are ironically the source of this story's compelling attraction. His repeated attempts to assasinate the family dog are hilarious. Dobozy has crafted a most unusual, but masterful tale. I can't wait for his next book.

Directory of Major Malls - 2001, 22nd edition
Published in Paperback by Directory of Major Malls (01 January, 2001)
Author: Tama J. Shor
Average review score:

New Retailer using the Mall Directory
I found this directory to be very useful in starting my retail business. I rent retail space in malls as a temporary tenant for holidays throughout the year. I found this a very useful resource for locating malls I want to be in and finding the right person to contact. Also the list of tenants in the masll is very useful so that I will know ahead of time if there will be a conflict with my product line. All in all a good resource for someone in my line of work.

This booked revolutionalized my attitude towards money!
The book was very well written and easy to read. It's a must read for anyone who's seriously trying to save and invest. She really makes the reader understand the power of compound interest over time -- understanding that concept alone changed my whole attitude towards saving!

Hear That
Published in Library Binding by Seastar Publishing Company (May, 1901)
Authors: Tama Janowitz and Tracy Dockray
Average review score:

An adventure with sounds
Hear That? How many of us have played this game w/our child(ren)? Here is a new book that takes the journey to a really silly imaginative level. As a boy and his mom wait for dad to come home there are various sounds in the house. They each take turns figuring out what the sounds could be and make a great in house adventure out of it. From butlers to walruses in the fridge and slippery banana peels you will laugh and learn. The illustrator used a unique and wonderful technique to bring the story to life. This could possibly get a Caldicott for 2001 either winner or honor.

Read this book.

International Migration, Immobility and Development: Multidisciplinary Perspectives
Published in Paperback by Berg Pub Ltd (September, 1997)
Authors: Thomas Hammar, Grete Brochmann, Kristof Tamas, Thomas Faist, Tomas Hammar, and Tomas Hammer
Average review score:

important issues
The point here is that plently of people do not migrate even when economics would seem to suggest migration should sky rocket. The works concentrate on European regions or generalize across the globe--but the point is important and suggest we don't always focus on the "big" picture when we talk about migration -- someone always stays home. For US scholars working on Mexican/US migration this is crucial stuff to consider

Work of excellence
This dictionary is the best dictionary work I had seen so far. Finally, an intelligent and logical dictionary! It is precise, complete and satisfyingly useful. You can find words in it that you can simply not find in other dictionaries. I sincerely recommend it to all Hungarian speakers learning the English language as well as to all those English speakers who intend to learn Hungarian. Once you put your hands on this one you'll throw the rest right out the window. Guaranteed! A true work of excellence.

This Time I Dance! Trusting the Journey of Creating the Work You Love: How One Harvard Lawyer Left It All to Have It All!
Published in Paperback by Awakening Artistry Press (January, 2002)
Author: Tama J. Kieves
Average review score:

This Time I Dance
Filled with quotes from her personal journal and splashes of lavender, this book is truly marvelous! Tama tackles head-on the "yes, buts...", "the I can't becauses...", and the other typical blocks to making successful life transitions. I found familiarity in her words, both my own and those of clients. Leave a job without a plan? Yes, proclaims the author, how else are you going to have the energy to follow your path if you are exhausted just getting through the workday? "You will engage the totality of your intelligence to find a means to succeed instead of to tally up and analyze the many ways you could fail."

Unlike other books I've read on the subject of:" finding and doing the work you love", this one encourages the reader to simply trust their inspired yearnings and yield to their inner knowing. Rather than follow a step-by-step process (like so many self help books recommend) Tama suggests you allow yourself time to let the path unfold before you. "..we only tend to find our mission once we take an intermission from the work life that doesn't work." As one who took an "intermission" to pursue my dreams, this book totally re-affirms my path. I recommend it to anyone who has felt "inklings" that there is a way to realize authentic, meaningful work.

She Really Inspires Me
This Time I Dance! is absolutely inspirational.

It is not a how-to, but I learned a *lot* about How To. I thought I had read all there was to read about how to do what I love for a living and earn what I deserve and live long and prosper. I have read maybe 25 books or more on the subject.

Tama simply tells her own story in a way that inspires me to live *my* story. Listening to her story makes me feel that I can do this, too. It was obviously written with much love and caring.

DANCE WITH TAMA! READ THIS BOOK AND TRUST....
I LOVE THIS BOOK! This Time I Dance is both an intimate personal journal and mentoring series of empowering lessons for the dissatisfied worker bee or the burdened professional. This book is for the lonely "closet creative" seeking an experienced coach and walking companion on a path to a more passionate and fearless expression of livelihood. Written with a full array of delicious imagery and savory, insightful prose and laced with inspiriting quotes from well-known fellow travelers, "This Time I Dance" is nothing less than magical. It exposes and celebrates every inner voice begging to be heard amidst the clatter of conformity -- from its deepest vulnerability to its most passionate vision. Through her own story, Tama effectively expresses the imminent joy ready to be birthed in the soulful, pregnant cry for unique self-expression in a society drunk with educational elitism, materialism and mediocre uniformity. With cheers, tears and jeers, Tama took me and can take you on an extraordinary journey of courageous aspiration into true "life-lihood." This is the bible for the creative soul longing for self-expression....it is a journey of faith and trust...I know this personally as a corporate transactional attorney who has a double life as a "creative..."

This Time I Dance: Trusting the Journey of Creating the Work You Love
Published in Hardcover by J. P. Tarcher (08 May, 2003)
Author: Tama J. Kieves
Average review score:

Not a typical self-help book!
Finally! A guide to changing career paths that is far more relatable than a typical self-help book. Kieves invites the reader to commence the journey of discovering and manifesting our heart's desire, as she shares in a humorous and poetic style her own transition from Harvard-educated attorney to published author. In doing so, Kieves does not ignore the uncertainties and challenges of such an undertaking, but offers a new and helpful perspective for navigating what is often a difficult passage. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is yearning for a more satisfying and fulfilling life; this book is truly an inspiration to begin creating one.

A must-read for anyone wanting a change
Tama's book was a godsend for me. As one who was teetering on the brink of leaving my adequate but soul-draining "corporate job" for years, this book punched through my fears and my doubts and gave me the spark I needed to finally do something about it.

Coming from a person who had much more to lose than I did but "did it anyway", Tama's telling of her story was exactly what I needed to get through the chorus of NO that played in my head every day ("What will I do instead? Oh no, I'll starve! Everyone would want my job...what will people think? What do I really want?") and move on to the next level of honesty with myself: "Get real, or you're wasting your time here, girl."

Everyone should read this book. It's magnificent.
